Engineering Alpha in Private Equity Slackbot
Get one idea a day from the Engineering Alpha in Private Equity podcast, posted to your team's Slack channel. Each post covers engineering, AI, or value creation in PE-backed companies: a short concept, often with a quote from the show.
How to Install
1. Click Add to Slack above.
2. Sign in to your Slack workspace if prompted.
3. Choose the channel where you want the daily post, then click Allow.
4. A welcome message appears in that channel right away. The first idea arrives the next morning.Some workspaces only let admins install apps. If you see a "request to install" option, your Slack admin will need to approve it.

When does it post?
Once a day, in the morning US Eastern time.Can I add it to more than one channel?
Yes. Click Add to Slack again and pick another channel.What can the app see?
Nothing. It only has permission to post messages to the channel you chose. It cannot read messages, see members, or access files.How do I remove it?
In Slack, open the app (search for Engineering Alpha Slackbot), click its name, and choose Remove app. You can also remove it from your workspace's Manage apps page. Posts stop immediately, and your install record is deleted automatically within a day.Does it cost anything?

Last updated: October 8, 2026The Engineering Alpha in Private Equity Slackbot ("the app") is provided by the Engineering Alpha in Private Equity podcast.What we collect.
When you install the app, Slack provides, and we store:
- your Slack workspace ID and name
- the ID and name of the channel you chose
- an incoming-webhook URL that lets the app post to that channel
- the date of installationWhat we don't collect.
The app cannot read messages, files, or member information, and we collect no personal data about you or your colleagues.How we use it.
To post the daily message to the channel you chose. When the app is installed or removed, the podcast's operators receive a notification in their own Slack workspace with your workspace and channel names.Where it's stored.
Cloudflare Workers KV, accessible only to the podcast's operators. The webhook URL is encrypted at rest. Cloudflare's service logs record workspace and channel IDs, which are kept for a few days for troubleshooting. We do not sell or share this data with anyone.Retention and deletion.
Your record is kept while the app is installed. When you remove the app, Slack revokes the webhook and we delete your record automatically after the next scheduled post. To request deletion sooner, contact Dave Mangot on LinkedIn.Changes.
